Welcome to Troop 77!
We are a Troop for youth, ages 11-18, located in Canton, MA and we welcome youth from Canton as well as surrounding towns. We have a long and proud history of being active and helpful our community. We aim to inspire and encourage each scout to become the best version of themselves by following the Scout Oath and Law. We are an active scout led troop with dedicated and active adult volunteers. We are charted by the Friends of Canton Scouting and are part of the Sachem District of Mayflower Council.
Where do we meet?
What do we do and why should you join?
Go on monthly camping trips to a wide variety of activities and locations
Attend weekly Troop meetings to work on rank advancement, leadership skills and to have fun
Participate in service projects to make our community a better place, including the Canton Food Pantry and Canton Veteran's Affairs
Learn about citizenship in our community, nation, society and world
Participate in a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, swimming, and boating
Learn the importance of the outdoors
Get leadership experience in various positions in our troop
Go on week-long trips and attend summer camp
Learn how to camp, cook, clean, organize, provide first aid, and many other life skills
Disconnect from electronics and enjoy the great outdoors
Earn merit badges in many different areas that interest you
Work together using the Patrol Method
Make new friends
Meet new people in your community
